Overview
LP Reporting turns your live Renesis portfolio into a polished investor statement. You pick a period, a reporting currency, and which strategies you want to break out, the system computes NAV, returns, and fees from the same ledger that drives your dashboard, then renders a 4-page PDF (or a 1-page “compact” layout) ready to send to your LPs. If your fund has a single LP per report (one strategy mandate, one LP), this is all you need. If you run a multi-LP fund with capital events and per-LP NAV tracking, see the LP Portal V1 docs (share-based accounting, capital events, per-investor fee accruals), same underlying report row, different feature set on top.Numbers in LP reports come from the same portfolio ledger your dashboard reads. If your dashboard NAV is wrong, the report will be wrong, fix the ledger first (re-reconcile the affected wallet / account), then re-render the report.
Building your first report
The Report Workspace is the editor. Each report has a fund identity, a reporting period, a list of strategies, and a content / branding block. You can save partial state and iterate.1) Create the report
New report
New report
- In the Report Workspace, click New Report.
- Pick the underlying portfolio, this defines which wallets/accounts feed the report. The portfolio is the source of NAV, balances, and transaction history.
- Give the report a name (e.g. “BLB Report, May 2026”). The name appears on the cover page and dashboard label; it can be renamed later.
Fund details
Fund details
- Fund manager / legal entity, jurisdiction (domicile), inception date, base currency, custodians, benchmark. These render on the cover page’s Investor Statement card.
- Share class is optional; surfaces as a chip on the same card.
2) Set the reporting period
Period start / end
Period start / end
- The period drives every number in the report: returns, fee accruals, NAV cards, chart x-axis.
- For a monthly report, set start = first day of the month and end = last day of the month. For quarterly, same idea on quarter bounds.
- Period label (e.g. “May 2026”, “Q1 2026”) is the display text; the start/end dates drive the math.
Reporting currency
Reporting currency
- The single currency every chart, NAV card, and fee total is expressed in. Use what your LPs report in (EUR for European LPs, USD by default).
- All FX conversions use month-end ECB rates for fiat pairs and on-chain spot prices for crypto pairs.
AUM basis
AUM basis
- Current EOM: management fee on month K is computed on the end of month K AUM.
- Prior EOM (BLB convention): management fee on month K is computed on the end of month K−1 AUM (i.e. the manager charges for managing what was already there at the start of the month). Common for institutional mandates.
- The two produce different monthly fee numbers; check which one your management agreement specifies.
3) Configure strategies
A strategy is a label that groups holdings together for reporting. Most funds run one or two strategies (e.g. ellenBTC pocket + ellenUSDC pocket). The roll-up is symbol-based: any holding tagged under the strategy’s name aggregates into that strategy’s NAV.Add a strategy
Add a strategy
- Name: the strategy label (e.g. ellenBTC). Must match the holding symbol used in the ledger.
- Denomination: the strategy’s native currency (BTC, ETH, USD, USDC, EUR …). Drives the ”≈ X BTC” cross-reference on the strategy card and the fee math (fees in native units, then converted to reporting currency).
- Inception: the date this strategy started accruing for the LP. If your data starts later, the renderer clamps to the data start date (so a “+1.45% since 2025-02-20” line doesn’t claim performance from a period we couldn’t measure).
Per-strategy fees
Per-strategy fees
- Management fee % / period and Performance fee % / period. Per-strategy fees override the fund-level defaults, useful when different mandates carry different fee schedules.
- Benchmark (e.g. BTC HODL, USDC SOFR + 200bps): optional text that renders next to the strategy card.
- Fee terms (e.g. “2/15”): display-only label on the strategy card.
4) Add disclosures & content
Text blocks
Text blocks
- Investment objective: short mandate description. Renders on page 1 below the strategy cards.
- Methodology notes: optional, how returns are measured. Renders on page 3.
- Disclaimer: the legal block on page 4. We pre-fill a generic disclaimer; replace with your fund counsel’s text.
- NAV cutoff time: the snapshot time (e.g. “23:59 UTC”) referenced in the methodology paragraph.
Branding
Branding
- Logo: PNG / SVG up to ~500 KB. Appears top-left on every page.
- Theme colors inherit from the fund template; reach out if you need custom palettes.
5) Render
Generate PDF
Generate PDF
- Click Render. The system pulls the latest portfolio ledger, computes the period’s returns and fees, and emits a 4-page A4 PDF.
- Render is incremental, only the period’s window is recomputed each time.
- For a compact 1-page version, switch the Layout dropdown to Compact.
Preview before sending
Preview before sending
- The Preview tab renders the same numbers as the PDF in an interactive dashboard so you can spot issues (wrong inception date, missing wallet, fee anomaly) before generating the file.
- The Preview’s Dashboard view also displays per-strategy KPIs the PDF doesn’t show, useful for internal checks.

| Fee Summary | 3 | Per-strategy / per-month management & performance fees, period totals, grand total |
| Methodology & Disclosures | 3-4 | NAV methodology, fund jurisdiction, custodians, contact, disclaimer |
Common adjustments
- AUM looks off? Check which wallets are in the portfolio. The report sums NAV across every wallet linked to the report’s portfolio, if a wallet that should be excluded is attached, detach it from the portfolio.
- Fees look off? Verify the AUM basis (current EOM vs prior EOM) matches your management agreement, and confirm the per-strategy fee % is correct on each strategy row. See Methodology for the exact formula.
- Period PnL shows the wrong sign color? Solved as of June 2026, older reports may need to be re-rendered.
- Crypto fee cells show “0.01” instead of e.g. “0.0134”? Bump Crypto Fee Precision to 4dp under Reporting in the Report Workspace.
- Want to drop cents from headline fiat numbers? Toggle Round Fiat Decimals under Reporting.
Permissions
- The report owner (manager account) can edit, render, and share. Anyone in the report’s
Email Addresseslist (LP-facing distribution) gets read-only access to the rendered PDF and dashboard. - Renaming a report is allowed at any time, the report’s underlying ID is what links it to portfolio data, so the name is purely display text.
